Tasmania in spring
1st September 2007 to 30th November 2007

Springtime is a lovely time down in Tassie.
The countryside is normally nice and green.
The weather is quite variable [ as it is most times here].
It appears that loading at the moment has dropped to alarming levels. Many trains recently have been running at very low loadings. The huge 40-50 wagon long overnight trains into Hobart seem to be a thing in the past. Logs still are not carried on rail and it appears other traffic has been lost to road.
I will update this gallery as photos come to hand.
Best wishes Steve Bromley

It was a glorious sunny day in the south of Tasmania. However on heading north to meet no 31 I ran into heavy cloud around Kempton. Despite running through solid cloud to Tunbridge I was lucky enough to get a 30 second burst of sun near Antil Ponds, and I was lucky enough to be there. MKA 2131 and D 2020 lead a paltry 'empty' paper train with a dozen or so wagons heading towards Boyer on Wednesday 5th September at 16.03
